Jaipur, the capital city of the state of Rajasthan is popularly known as Pink City . The Royal city of Jaipur is on popular tourist circuit known as Golden Triangle. The city owes its name, its foundations and its careful planning, to the great warrior and astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II. His predecessors had enjoyed good relations with the Mughals, and Jai Singh properly cultivated the alliance.
